The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) hosts a combined joint African Exercise

On Monday 3 September 2012, the South African National War College (SANWC), under the auspices of the SANDF, will host a Combined Joint African Exercise with other Command Staff Colleges from Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. The participating countries, including South Africa, are Botswana and Zambia, with Malawi and Zimbabwe as observers. The event will be preceded by a media briefing which will be addressed by the Commandant of the SANWC Rear Admiral Patrick Duze at 10h30 and is scheduled to commence at the SANWC at corner Bosman and Struben streets include the new names.

The aim of this exercise seeks to equip senior military officers within the SADC with necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required to plan and conduct a peace mission in a multinational environment. This is an annual exercise Command and Staff Colleges wherein students are exchanged amongst the participating Command and Staff Colleges.
