The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) hosts a combined joint African Exercise

On Friday 7 September 2012, the South African War College, under the auspices of the SANDF, will hold a media briefing on a Combined Joint African Exercise (C JAX) with other Command Staff Colleges from Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. The participating countries, including South Africa, are Botswana and Zambia, with Zimbabwe and Malawi as observers. The aim of this exercise seeks to equip senior military officers within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required to plan and conduct a peace mission in a multinational environment. This is an annual exercise Command and Staff Colleges wherein students are exchanged amongst the participating Command and Staff Colleges.
