DOD commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Disability is the consequence of an impairment that may be physical, cognitive, mental, sensory, emotional, developmental, or some combination of these. Disability may be present from birth or occur during a person’s lifetime.
 
The Department of Defence (DOD) Chief Directorate Transformation Management, headed by Maj Gen Olga Nodola, recently observed the 2016 commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) at the Pretoria Military Sport Club in Thaba Tshwane. 

To inspire hope and confidence in the ability of the Security Cluster to work together in addressing the common challenges facing persons with disabilities members from the South African Police Service (SAPS) Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) Quality of Work life Management Section led by Brigadier Vusisiwe Ndlovu and representatives from Curamus Association attended this event.
