Defence Corporate Communication welcoming the new Director Defence Corporate Communication

On 27 January 2017, in a brief meeting headed by Head of Communications(HOC), Mr Siphiwe Dlamini Directorate Corporate Communication (DCC) personnel officially welcomed the newly appointed Director Defence Corporate Communication, Brig Gen Mafi Mgobozi, who officially will assume his duties from 01 Febrauary 2017 at Defence Headquarters. The HOC took opportunity to inform all colleagues about the departure of the Gen Mgobozi’s predecessor, Brig Gen Xolani Mabanga, who has been appointed as the Defence Attaché (DA) at the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in the People’s Republic of China.
In his short introductory address to the personnel under his leadership in his new directory Brig Gen Mgobozi said he was sincerely pleased to be part of the DCC and looked forward to working with the DCC team with the mandate of achieving new heights within the department.
He further highlighted that to achieve high heights, people needed to respect each other and work as a team. He said: “If we are to be successful in achieving the mandate of corporate communication, we need to respect each other. Respect can take the organisation a long way.”
