The Chief of the South African National Defence Force medals parade

The Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), General Solly Shoke, held a Medal Parade for deserving members with a long service record at the Armscor Sports Ground in Erasmuskloof Pretoria, on 2 June 2017.

The purpose of this event was to confer medals to SANDF members for long service in executing their mandate of ensuring that the people of South Africa are safe.

Addressing the guests and members on parade, General Shoke acknowledged the recipients for serving the country with loyalty and discipline for thirty, forty and fifty years. He added that the officers on parade distinguished themselves to serve the country with dedication, determination through thin and thick situations.
